Food Commons Projects

Cooperative of 25 households around a gaptap in Kwazakhele township, Nelson Mandela Bay. Production of food (vegetables), energy (PV solar) and waste recycling. About 12 backyard gardens as well as one food tunnel on the gaptap producing vegetables (spinach, peppers etc). Water tanks with water from rainwater capture from gutters on roofs of houses and grey water from kitchens.
